With 100 kilometres of bike paths, Ile de Ré is a cyclist’s paradise. Cycle through the salt marshes, woods and along the beachfront as you discover the island's many gorgeous landscapes. The extensive network of horse trails and footpaths are a sure bet for family fun.
Beaches: La Redoute and La Loge
These two stunning beaches (La Redoute and La Loge) are only 30 metres from the village and are the perfect place to collect seashells and enjoy the lovely natural setting of the dunes.
The salt marshes are an essential characteristic of the island's natural heritage: they shape the landscape and provide an especially rich natural environment for a wide variety of distinctive bird and plant species.
Portes en Ré sailing club – Gros-Jonc beach
The Portes en Ré sailing club has stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and windsurf boards for hire, and can arrange private lessons for every level of learner.
Lilleau des Niges nature reserve
Every year, this bird sanctuary welcomes thousands of migratory and sedentary bird species. Just steps from the reserve, you can visit the Maison du Fier, a museum dedicated to the natural heritage of Ile de Ré.
Trousse-Chemise golf course
The Trousse-Chemise golf course is only 800 metres from the campsite and has a 9-hole course that is open year-round, a putting green, an area to work on your approach shots and bunker shots, a practice zone amid salt marshes, and a pro shop.
